That’s what my kind hubby said when he saw this:

Ok… you might not think much of it, or love the print (a Spotlight sale fabric that I didn’t love very much after I paid for it – yes, I’m a fickle one). BUT wait till you see the ‘BEFORE’ photo:

I was tempted to get one of the covers from Etsy, but I’m feeling a bit poor after my fabric spree recently. So, I bit the bullet and tried out this tutorial and it worked like a charm! I was debating whether to use one of my precious Amy Butler prints, but decided against it just in case I screw it all up. And as usual, when the proto-type turns out better than you expected, you regret not using a better print. However, next time I will just cut out a bigger piece of fabric and make a quick casing, instead of going through the process of pinning the old casing to the new fabrics…

So, with a new cover (and additional batting!), my ironing board takes on a new lease of life.
